What We Do

Tobacco-Free Schools

We are available to assist Des Moines County school districts in creating, implementing, and enforcing tobacco-free policies.

Currently, Burlington,Danville, West Burlington, Mediapolis, and SCC School Districts are tobacco-free.

Smoke-Free Workplaces

We are available to assist Des Moines County workplaces in creating a smoke-free or tobacco-free workplaces.

Presentations to Community Groups

Community Events

We are available to present to community groups about tobacco prevention topics including health effects of tobacco use, secondhand smoke, cessation options, benefits of smoke-free environments, and the coalition.

In the past, we have presented to schools, the NEST of Des Moines County, Burlington Rotary Club,  Community Action of Southeast Iowa, Planned Parenthood of Southeast Iowa and Flint Cliffs Manufacturing.

We actively participate in several community events, including:
